Navíc is a liquid feed supplement designed to improve micro blood circulation in the navicular bone of the horse. Navíc is a valuable ally in the treatment of the navicular disease, both in preventive phase, and when disease is evident. The secret of the effectiveness of Navíc lies in the presence of high titers of Gingko Biloba extracts. Thanks to the high level of flavonoids and terpene derivatives (gingkolides), Navíc promotes blood flow in the peripheral districts of the animal, thus allowing the flow of nutrients needed for proper oxygenation. This is the prerequisite for the healing process in all laminitic conditions.
When Navic should be used: Navíc is the ideal product for contrasting onset of problems to the navicular bone (naviculitis). Navíc is indicated for those horses practicing on hard ground and performing very intense work. It is recommended for competitive horses with poor circulation in feet, for horses with small hooves (because they must stand more pressure than large hooves) and for horses with excessive levelling in the region of the heels. In cases of horseshoe bad positioning (hyperextension of the deep flexor tendon) and in case of presence of perforating wounds in the podotroclear bursa (infection), Navíc comes as a valuable ally to improve circulation in the hoof area. Navíc contains no source of simple and/or complex sugars, that would represent a high risk factor during laminitic phenomena.
